A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing one of my oldest and best friends Melanie. Like so many of us, she had her bridal portraits done pre-wedding but at the time they were taken she was stressed out about the wedding and just generally not feeling at her best. She decided to have a post-bridal shoot before taking her dress in for preservation so that she could not only get some awesome pics, but also another day of wear out of the dress! We had a ton of fun exploring the city for different locations and ended up with some very unique portrait spots (can you say Waffle House??).
Here are a few of my favorites from the day. If you would like to see more be sure to check out the slideshow!

I have really been telling brides I know that post-bridals are the way to go, for sure! I had so much fun doing these after the fact, when I didn’t really care if my dress got dirty. I’m just going to get it cleaned/preserved anyway!
Helps that I had a FANTASTIC photographer!

Waffle House – that’s awesome! Do you remember that you guys were the first to pop my WaHo cherry – you made me wear one of the paper hats, and played the silly WaHo songs on the jukebox. sigh.
