Alright ladies, let’s talk about shoes!  This is a subject near and dear to my heart since I love shoes almost as much as I love photography.  

Rule #1 when looking for “wedding shoes” is leave the bridal store/ bridal department!!  There is no need to pay an exorbitant price for white or off white shoes just because they have the word wedding attached to them.  As a matter of fact, a recent trend in bridal fashion is to forgo the white shoes all together and instead pick a fun, bright color that will really pop in your photos.  Check out these great hot pink shoes Amber wore for her wedding (and for her post-bridals I’ll be posting more about this week).  ETA: Please see the comments section for where Amber got these cute shoes!

Additionally if you can afford Manolo Blahniks or Christian Louboutin’s then by all means get them, but if you are a bride on a budget don’t assume that you can’t find an adorable shoe that will fit your wedding just perfectly at a place like Old Navy or Target.  My wedding shoes were $9.99 at Old Navy and worked perfectly with my wedding style.  Also check out the bride’s shoes in this wedding by Drew B.  - completely adorable and from Target!!

In summary, when shopping for wedding shoes, be creative!  Not only could you score a major deal, but your bargain shoes could be yet another one of the special details that make your wedding unique!
