I’m finally getting around to posting pictures from my trip to Seattle waaaaay back at the beginning of November. Melanie and I left for Seattle the day after my big wreck. It was a quick trip, but exactly what I needed after all of that stress. We left after work on a Thursday so we would have all day Friday to explore the city. Here we are at the airport before we left

On Friday we awoke to the quintessential Seattle weather – cold and rainy. Oh well, at least we were expecting it. I even bought some cheery pink polka dotted rain boots for the occasion. We loaded up in the car and headed out to my #1 must see attraction – the Kurt Cobain death house. I posted most of the pics from there already but here are a few more.
Heading out
The House

From there we ventured over to Pike’s Place public market. I hadn’t realized that Seattle was such a food mecca. As you will see from this point on pretty much every activity revolved around food. YUM.
Our first stop here was the famous fish market where they throw the fish. Unfortunately they weren’t throwing fish that morning, but we still managed to have our picture made with a cute little Asian guy that worked there so that made it worth it.
From there we took a stroll around the market, buying fresh fruit for dessert that night and sampling some pumpkin Cheesecake from one of the stores.
This guys was really happy that Melanie bought some of his strawberries
Personal-sized cheesecake. YUM!
And then we ran right smack into the first ever Starbucks store. Of course we had to stop in and have a Grande White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha no-whip (and I’ve now added “Soy” to this spiel).
Right about this time John called to update me on some drama with my wrecked car and so we decided some shopping therapy was in order. BEHOLD H&M. If we ever get one of these in Nashville, my life will be complete.

And me emerging with the spoils of my labor
After all the shopping we had worked up an appetite and decided to check out Trophy – a cupcake place we had read about online.
The cupcakes looked and tasted fantastic.
And I don’t care where you lie on the political spectrum, you have to admit these are super cool cupcakes!
The cupcakes were so good in fact that after each eating one, we decided to buy a to-go box full so we could have some for breakfast the next morning.
And because we just hadn’t eaten enough, after leaving Trophy we decided to head home where Melanie so graciously cooked us an amazing dinner of Coal Miner’s Pasta.
And here we have Tiffany’s resulting foodgasm
And of course we had to have dessert too – chocolate covered bacon and strawberries.
After dinner we all watched SATC and had a good cry. I love my girlfriends!!!
Hopefully I’ll be able to post Seattle Day 2 later this week, but for now I’m off to second shoot a wedding at Riverwood Mansion with Courtney DeLaura. Hooray!

HA! Boy I look rough after SATC. And for the record…I hate Tiffany’s guts. Well, really just her legs, but I hate her guts for having those legs. And ALSO for the record…I hate her b/c that size small dress was too big. LOL I’m working on it, though!
I love those pictures. I loved that trip. I’m so glad to have you two!
