Seattle Day 2

February 17th, 2009 · 3 Comments

If you recall in my last Seattle post, we did a lot on Day 1 so we took it considerably slower on day 2.  We began our day with some incredible Dim Sum, another thing that I wish Nashville would get although it’s probably better for my waist line that we don’t.

After we gorged ourselves at Dim Sum we decided to check out the Ballard Salmon Locks.  I’m not quite sure what I was expecting to see, but it wasn’t what I expected at all.  Kinda boring actually.  I’m sure it’s much cooler when there are more Salmon using the Locks.

As we were finishing up at the Locks Tiffany got a text message that her team (Alabama) was loosing the football game and that sent her into “mission mode” as seen below.  We may laugh, but mission mode got her to where the game was being shown on TV before it was over!  LOL!

Ohhh and I almost forgot!  As we were leaving the Locks we spotted this guy with a cat on a leash.  That’s right, A CAT ON A LEASH!!  Crazy!!  I had to be sneaky, but I got a pic for proof of this anomaly.

Once the game was over and Melanie and I had taken a sweet nap, we all got ready to head out for the night.  We had dinner at the Pink Door which was wonderful and then went to a burlesque show which was really cool, but unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of.  I did, however, take some photos of the infamous gum wall on the way to the show.  It’s so gross but yet somehow intriguing!

And one quick shot of the gorgeous autumn leaves with the Space Needle in the background I took the next day as we were on our way to the airport to return home.

Well I am off to bed!  John and I have decided to start going to the gym in the morning before work and it is killing me already!!

I love how you captured my concentration while I was trying to stick my gum on the wall, yet not touch any other piece of gum. LOL Cool, yet gross. LOLOL

I’ve heard of people walking cats on leashes, but there’s no way my little felines would ever put up with that, LOL. Good luck with the morning gym thing. I have to exercise late in the day – just no way to get my body moving that early, LOL. (I’m afraid I’m just too freaked out about the gum wall to even comment on that!)
