This is going to be a quickie because it’s been another one of those Mondays for me.  However, I was having dinner with my friend and bride-to-be Cathy last night and she reminded me of something I had completely forgotten about – reception venue price changes.  Most brides today plan their wedding anywhere from a year to a year and a half in advance.  While the flat fee of renting your reception venue is locked in at the time of signing the contract, the price of the food is not and it is almost guaranteed to go up when the calendar year changes.  Just a little something to keep in mind when planning out your budget.  Build a food/beverage price increase into your budget now so you won’t be surprised by it a few months before your wedding!
