Taylor and Brett – Woodmont Christian Church Nashville (part 1)

Taylor and Brett hold a special place in my heart.  They were the first engagement session that John and I ever shot and one of the first to hire us to photograph their wedding.  And what a wedding it was!  Everything was beautiful, but by far more beautiful than any material object was the love that Brett and Taylor share for one another.  I had a really hard time cutting down photos for the blog so this is going to be part one of two.  In my next entry I will share photos from the gorgeous reception at University Club.  I urge you to view the slideshow to get a better feel for their day…and you may want to watch it twice.  There are so many photos that it loads quite slowly the first time you play it, but the second time works like a charm ;)

Vendors for the day:

Hair and Makeup: Bishop’s Salon

Dress: A Bride’s Storey

Ceremony Location: Woodmont Christian Church

Reception Location: University Club Nashville

Flowers: Branches

Cakes: Billie Mochow

DJ: Jason Middleton

We started the day at Bishop’s Salon

Then we all headed over to Woodmont Christian to prepare for the ceremony

One of the bridesmaids spotted this room with amazing windows for Taylor to get dressed in

Then it was time for us to photograph the guys

Brett was such a proud groom, he was just beaming all day

Then the ladies took their turn

And I have to take this opportunity to say that some weddings would have run seriously late with 10 bridesmaids – not this one!  These ladies were on top of things!!

The always beautiful Taylor looked positively stunning on her wedding day!

And you know I had to get a shot of those Stuart Weitzmans

And before we knew it, it was time for the ceremony

Look at that smile!!

The new Mr. and Mrs!!

The whole wedding party

And then a few portraits of Taylor and Brett alone

And this is normally something I don’t do, but when Taylor and I had our final pre-wedding lunch date, she had mentioned how she really liked photos that looked edited – I’m normally more on the clean and “real” side of editing.  I was happy to meet her request, and hence created these and a few others for her.  I’d love to get your feed back on if this is something you would like to see more of.  I have to admit, it was kinda fun!

Be back later with reception pics!

Totally love the editing! Maybe not for every photo of course, but to create some special artwork for the wall.

You & Jon are mega talented!
