It’s a rare thing to find a friend who is always there for you to lend an ear, tell you a funny story or to share some trash TV  Chasity is that friend for me.  She was the first friend I made when I moved to Smyrna 3 years ago and we have been friends ever since.  Oddly enough, I met her mother before I met her!  I wandered into the Smyrna Scrapbook store one evening knowing nothing about the hobby but having a vague idea what I wanted to create.  Chasity was the owner of that scrapbook store and her mother was manning the store that night.  She was so nice and helpful and even offered to have the store scan some photos for me – it’s funny now to hear Chasity talk about how she was mortified that her mother was offering up her scanning services!  Anyway, I had such a great experience at the store that I became a regular and in the process Chasity and I became good friends.  I was so excited when she asked me to photograph her family – and a little intimidated when I found out they hadn’t had a family photo taken in 10 YEARS!!!  Thankfully they all laughed at my jokes and we had a wonderful afternoon wandering the streets of Smyrna and taking pics

And I have to post this last one…my secret to getting laughs out of this family was telling jokes involving a certain college team who shall remain nameless.  All that trash talking inspired Bruce to ask for a pic with his tailgate.  Just incase you can’t tell that’s a Memphis license plate.  Between Memphis and the Titans, I’m fairly certain this family bleeds blue
