This past weekend John and I photographed our first Destination Wedding in Emory, Virginia. However, this was more than just an awesome destination wedding – it was the wedding of one of my dearest high school friends. Cathy and I have been friends since middle school and to be able to photograph her wedding was an honor and a privilege. I hadn’t met Mike until the day of the wedding, but I could instantly see what a great guy he is and I am so happy for them both. The love they share is obvious the moment you see them together. It’s a love filled with laughter and joy and one that just makes everyone that comes in contact with it smile.
Mike and Cathy – thank you so much for having me there to capture your special day. We must get together again soon!
Here are a few of my favorites, as always be sure to watch the slideshow for more!

Amber you’re too sweet! I cant tell you how much I love the pictures so far, I cant wait to see the rest of them. I’ve gotten so many compliments on how great they look, and from the wedding party on how easy and how much fun you and John were to work with. I just feel bad with all the picture taking there isnt one of you and me!

Heavy sigh… you know, before we became friends and I became a fan of your blog, I thought I was okay with having done the “City Hall” thing and skipping the whole big wedding. If I had it to do over? I’d insist on a real wedding, just so I could hire *you* to photograph it!
