As much as I love photographing brides in white dresses, there is something so exciting about being able to photograph a wedding that is bursting with color from every seam. Add to that an emotional ceremony followed by smiles and laughter all hosted by a family who welcomed us not as hired help, but as guests and well, what you have is two very happy photographers
Theses are just a few of the reasons why Saqi and Alex’s wedding part 1 rocked my world. And what is even better is that we get to do it all again come June!
Saqi and Alex – thank you both so much for having us share in recording your marriage. I absolutely cannot wait to do it again in June. I hope you love your sneak peek!
Saqi’s family did a wonderful job of decorating the house.

Alex mingled with guests while Saqi got ready.

Loved the detail on his garment.

Meanwhile, Saqi was putting the finishing touches on her amazing outfit upstairs.

The ceremony began with Saqi being walked by an entourage into the room where Alex was waiting. When the group started along their walk, Saqi’s mom was over come with emotion.

Seeing each other for the first time in wedding gear.

This will be a recurring theme – I was slightly obsessed with photographing Saqi’s hands.

The officiant, who also happened to be Saqi’s dad, having Alex repeat after him.

Some of their closest friends and relatives were in attendance at this small gathering.

Right after they were pronounce married – I love the look on Saqi’s face!

Love this of Saqi and her Dad.

An emotional family moment.

Right after the ceremony the marriage papers were signed by the officiant, two witnesses, and Saqi and Alex.

The Mr and Mrs!

Some details of the incredibly beautiful Saqi!

More of those hands I can’t get enough of…

I caught this one of Saqi’s hands + her mom’s hands while John was shooting family formals. Another advantage of having two photographers present

After the formal photos were finished up, it was time to eat. There was a ton of delicious food!

After dinner there was dessert which of course included a beautiful wedding cake.

Oh, and Happy New Year!!!!
