Allison and Steve – Dallas/Ft Worth Couples Photography

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before, but having someone fly you out to photograph them is one of the most flattering things ever for a photographer. And when that someone is a friend, well, that is just the cherry on top! This past weekend I flew out to the Dallas/Ft Worth area to photograph my long-time pug friend Allie and her boyfriend Steve. I had a fabulous time hanging out with these two! In addition to our photo session, we played with pugs, went shopping, ate lots of good food and watched some trash TV. Just the way I like to spend my weekend!

This next couple were inspired by Allie’s love of all things cowboy.

This is the only one where I got a toothy grin out of Steve! He was a hard one to crack!!

Samantha and Mike – Nashville Maternity Session

I absolutely love that John has a huge family. I come from a pretty small family so I am constantly amazed by the large family dynamic. Samantha is John’s oldest niece and I had the pleasure of doing a few maternity photos for her and Mike a couple of weeks ago. Their son Christopher was born yesterday and I realized I hadn’t yet blogged these images! Crazy Christmas time will do that to you. But even being a bit late, I wanted to share a few of the images with you.

Samantha and Mike – we wish you all the best in your journey through parenthood! And to little Christopher – welcome to the world!

When I was a little girl I only played with red headed dolls. As far as I was concerned Barbie couldn’t hold a candle to Midge and one Christmas I remember my grandma searching tirelessly to find me the red headed bride doll I had put at the top of my list. I even tried to have red hair myself for a while in high school. It was a disaster and if you don’t believe me just check out my friend Melanie’s “Old School” album on Facebook. Imagine how excited I was when I discovered that the winners of the photoshoot we donated to the Music City Pug Rescue Pugnic’s silent auction were Jessica and Matt. Jessica has a gorgeous head of fiery red hair that I would give my right arm for and Matt is a super nice guy AND (I know! Can you believe it gets even better??!!??) they are the proud parents of both a black (Hero) and a fawn (Kingsley) pug. PERFECT!!

John and I had so much fun doing this shoot! I really can’t think of much that makes me happier – hanging out with cool people and their adorable pugs, taking some fun pics, and raising money for pug rescue all at the same time. Seriously PERFECT!!

Jessica and Matt – thank you so much for your support of pug rescue. We are looking forward to having a little puggie playdate with you guys soon!!

Camilo and Camila – a Family Session

A few weekends ago I traveled to trendy East Nashville to photograph Camilo and Camila. John and I have had the pleasure of being friends with them for several years now. We always have a good time together and our little photoshoot was no exception! C&C have been married for a number of years now, but they are still so in love that the shoot totally had an engagement feel to it!
