The day began at Suzi’s house with hair, make-up, and brunch!

Suzi’s Jr Bridesmaid was so excited to get her first real tube of lipstick!

Then it was time to head over to Woodmont to prep for the ceremony!

I love how happy Suzi looks as she and her Dad started down the aisle.

The Father of the Bride arranged for their to be Chick-fil-A nuggets at the reception – a favorite of the bride.

Jenna and David – Thank you so much for having us there to document your day.  You made us feel like family and we had an awesome time.  We wish both of you a lifetime of happiness together!

Runaway bride?  Not exactly but I couldn’t resist a pic of Jenna’s cute sneakers she wore under her wedding gown.  The watch attached to the shoe was her first “engagement ring” from David.  Awwwww!!

Jenna described the suite as looking like what happens when a nervous porcupine throws its quills.  I’d say that’s a pretty accurate description of what most bridal suites look like…

Meanwhile in the boys room…

there was a small man-party going on.

And back in the bridal suite Jenna was getting into her gown.

Then it was time to head over to the chapel.  I photographed the guys walking over in total rat-pack style.

This was the chapel.  So cute, so Vegas.

After the wedding we headed over to Origin India for the reception.

Thanks to a mirror off the dance floor I captured this shot – one of my favorites ever from a reception – it’s Jenna’s mom and brother watching David and Jenna have their first dance.

Thanks again Jenna and David!  Everything was fabulous!!

Speaking of, Jessica and Josh’s wedding was a ton of fun!  Laughs and smiles all around, all day!  Just great.  As always I am sharing my favorites with you – a few more than usual since I was late.  If you know me, you know how much I hate lateness so hopefully the extra pics will make up for my tardiness  For an even bigger preview be sure to view the slideshow!

Jessica and Josh – I hope you guys are having a wonderful time on your honeymoon!!  Let me know when you get back!!

Jessica’s beautiful gown was from Glitz Bridal.

I absolutely loved this little courtyard at Christ the King.  A little bit of fall color and a whole lot of beautiful light!

The ring bearer had a little “oops” with his chewing gum!  CoCo to the rescue!

The flowers by Karen Rippy of Zia were beautiful!

Let’s take a little tour, shall we?  From the minute you stepped out of the car, you knew this was going to be an event to remember.  A hand-painted sign directed you to the reception.

From there you followed a stump-lined, mason jar lit path to the action.

Need to lighten your load a bit?  Hang your coat in the “Country Coat Check.”

The Lemonade Stand blew me away.  It is hands down one of the cutest things I have ever seen at a wedding.  Mandy and Ben had it stocked with fans with recipes printed on them, blue and yellow striped straws, mason jars with wooden name tags and even photos from their relationship hanging from a clothes line.

The “Kids Corner” was heavily used by the kids later that evening and looked so cute!

I know I showed this yesterday, but I can’t decide if the Lemonade Stand or the Bride and Groom cut out was my favorite.  I’m just going to give them a tie for coolest props ever

There were little touches like this sprinkled throughout the backyard.  Loved it!!

I really loved the bright yellow and blue colors and they made for a beautiful table scape.

And what’s a wedding without a Candy Buffet?  Mandy and Ben had stocked theirs with some really unusual, cool, and color-coordinated selections.

A very cool cigar bar area that later in the evening played their engagement photos on rotation.

As I said before, Mandy’s parents are chefs so I’m not going to share all the amazing food with you but I did want to share these sweet heart shaped cookies and some chocolate something-I-don’t-know-what-it-is-but-looks-amazing  My main reason for showing the chocolates is so you can see the cool way in which they were displayed – glass sitting on top of mason jars. What a perfect display!

And finally the cakes!  The main wedding cake was actually a group of personal size cakes displayed on an antique cart.  Both the wedding cake and the grooms cake were topped with personalized bobble heads Mandy had made as a surprise for bobble head loving Ben.

And finally the groom’s cake.  You may remember from the engagement shoot that Ben is a drummer – what a GENIUS idea to use a snare as a cake stand and drum sticks and a cymbal as decoration.  It was perfection!

So that wraps up the wedding of Amanda and Ben.  I still feel like I barley scraped the surface in these blog posts so I would definitely encourage you to scroll back up and watch their slideshow.

Mandy and Ben – thank you both SO MUCH for having us there to photograph your day.  You two are a pleasure to be around and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together!!

Then it was off to the church to finish getting ready.  I adored Mandy’s Mom’s reaction to seeing her in her wedding gown.

And can you blame her??  Amanda looked absolutely stunning.

And Ben played the dashing groom quite well…

Then it was first look time!

Since Mandy and Ben opted for a first look and the ceremony and reception site were close to each other, we took the time to do a fun little shoot with their reception details before people arrived and while the lighting was fabulous!

The bride and groom cut out was just incredible!!  Love it!!

And I love that Mandy had a parasol.  So much fun!

Then it was back to the church for the ceremony!

Then back to the reception site where the party was already underway.

I loved this moment just after Mandy and Ben were announced into the reception – all those kids from the “Kid Corner” rushed over to hug and love on the new Mr. and Mrs.  So sweet!!  I also loved later that one of the girls asked Mandy if she would ever see her again (and no she’s not moving away!).  Kids are so funny!

After dinner the dancing began.

Mandy’s step-grandpa was the officiant for the ceremony.  This is him and his wife winning the anniversary dance.  They were adorable together on the dance floor.

If you are a girl, you know you and your girlfriends have that one song that just takes you right back to a place where you used to drop everything and belt out the lyrics no matter where you were.  Can you guess what Mandy and her girls are belting out here??  The earworm known as Mmmbop.

Then Ben requested the DJ play Crash.  Mandy and Ben danced to it alone on the dance floor like they were the only people on earth.  So romantic.

And then there was a grand sparkler/bubble exit!  I loved these two shots of them in the glow of the sparklers.
