Welcome Charlotte and Audrey!

November 5th, 2011 · 10 Comments

Most of you already know and those of you who didn’t probably guessed that my extended absence from the blog meant our babies had arrived!  We welcomed Charlotte Estelle and Audrey Frances into the world on October 17th, exactly 6 weeks early.  We are so thankful that they only had a short stay in the hospital and we are enjoying life at home with our beautiful, healthy little girls.  While I am taking a maternity leave from photography until January, being the proud mom I am I will likely pop in here from time to time with a photo or two of my girls :)  Here are some of my favorites from their first week of life.

Charlotte’s first moments

Charlotte meeting mommy for the first time.

Our sweet Audrey wasn’t quite as eager to be born as Charlotte and needed more medical assistance.

This was the first time I was able to hold both my girls at the same time.  I was completely overwhelmed with love.

Our first picture as a family of four :)

Sisters sharing an isolette.

Daddy holding his girls!

Homecoming day!  All the nurses wanted to say goodbye to our sweet girls :)

Home at last.

Audrey

Kendel and Jeff – Cheekwood Wedding Nashville

October 3rd, 2011 · 1 Comment

As most of you know by now, I’ve been on bed rest + in and out of the hospital since September 10.  Not fun at all!  And I have to tell you, the number one thing I was disappointed about having to miss out on was Kendel and Jeff’s wedding.  We all knew this was a possibility considering I’m expecting twins, but this is the first time I’ve ever had to miss a wedding and it just tore me up!  Thankfully I’m big on planning ahead and had already lined up a replacement for myself just in case.  A huge thanks to Emily T and of course my wonderful hubby John for stepping in and doing such a fabulous job of capturing this special day.  They did a fabulous job and I feel like I was there when looking at the photos!  Below are some of my favorites – thanks again John and Emily, and Kendel and Jeff for being so understanding!

Kendel, you are gorgeous!!

This is the 2nd time this year for one of these bridesmaids to be on the blog…anyone recognize which one? :)

I loved all the little details they included in their wedding day.  So pretty!

LOVE these programs!  So creative!

Laughs at the altar are the best!  I always wonder what was so funny :)

Ashley and Josh – Portland, TN Wedding

September 4th, 2011 · 1 Comment

Ashley and Josh were married at a cute little church in Portland, TN on a very hot summer’s day.  Surrounded by family and friends, they pledged not only their love for each other, but for Josh’s adorable daughter.  It is something very special to be entrusted to photograph the union of two people, but even more so to capture the beginning of a family.  Ashley, Josh, and Kalani – we wish you a lifetime of happiness in your union!  Congratulations!

Pregnancy Update

September 1st, 2011 · 13 Comments

It’s been a while since I’ve updated on how things are going for our little growing family.  I just turned 7 months pregnant and since we’ve made a habit of taking a belly pic at the end of the month. I’ve completed the latest installment of the belly shots for your viewing pleasure :)

To recap, this was the first three month collage:

And here is the collage of the last three months:

I have really grown!!  But that also means the babies have grown and that is a very good thing.  Baby Girl A is now 2lbs and Baby Girl B is 2lbs 4 ounces.  And they already look like their daddy :)  I purposely don’t post a lot of ultrasound photos in the internet – I mean they are pictures of my insides after all – but I can’t help but share the latest two.  Look at the cheeks!!  Obviously I’m biased but my babies are already the cutest thing I’ve ever seen and they aren’t even out of the womb yet.

Physically I’m slower and I tire easily but I’m still chugging along.  And I’m looking forward to fall more than ever.  Cooler temps, pumpkin goodies, and the birth of my babies.  I just can’t wait!!

And just for fun, let’s pretend you were expecting twin girls.  What would you name them?
